Personally, I have learned a lot from this year's challenges (including countless new recipes). While there are many moments I'd like to forget, there are 5 marketing lessons from 2020 that are sure to stick around for 2021 and beyond.

Every marketer in every industry should take this advice. Simplify your messaging and make it more human and conversational. At the end of the day, you are marketing to actual people who are facing their own challenges both at work and at home. After in person events were cancelled, the only way to network was online. Because of the reliance on digital devices, digital marketing became invaluable.

Anticipate Change. While there was no possible way to anticipate or prepare for the level of change in 2020, it's important to know that change is coming.

Adapt to Change Quickly. The sooner you realize that your old strategies are no longer working, the sooner you can get to work on new strategies and tactics that will work.

Enjoy Change! While we all faced challenges from changes this year, it's still important to take a moment and celebrate your quick wins.
